Custom kitchens on the North Shore

The North Shore is one of the markets we know best, a short hop across the bridge from our Kitsilano showroom. North Vancouver and West Vancouver kitchens have a particular character, and a few patterns come up again and again.

What North Shore kitchens tend to need

A lot of North Shore homes are built into slopes and around views, which means kitchens that open to the light and the water rather than closing themselves off. Owners here often want to connect the kitchen to the living space and let the room breathe, while keeping the working side organized. That puts the design weight on layout and storage: islands that seat the family, pantry walls that hide the work, and clean fronts that keep a view-facing room calm.

Older homes on the North Shore also bring the usual character-house quirks, walls that are not square and ceilings that vary, which is exactly where made-to-order cabinetry earns its keep. We size the cabinets to the room rather than fitting the room around stock sizes.

How we work up here

The showroom is minutes away, so seeing real finishes in person and getting to your place for measurements is easy. Design and the build run the same as anywhere: a free consultation, a full design with 3D renderings, confirmed measurements, then a roughly four-week build with cabinets delivered pre-assembled. Most North Shore projects land in our usual range of about $18,000 to past $100,000, most often between $30,000 and $50,000, depending on space, finish, and organization.

If you are planning a North Shore kitchen, the Vancouver Kitchen Cost Calculator gives you a rough band in a couple of minutes, and a free consultation gets you a real number.
