DADO builds custom kitchens for Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton from Vancouver. There is no Squamish showroom. The design happens at our Kitsilano showroom or over video with drawings, the cabinetry is built in Canada and leaves Vancouver pre-assembled up Highway 99, and installation is done by our crew or coordinated with your builder's. Pricing is the same planning range as a Vancouver project, from about $18,000 for a smaller kitchen to past $100,000 for a large high-end build, with most landing between $30,000 and $50,000, and the drive is costed into the quote rather than added later.
Squamish is growing fast, and most of the kitchens we are asked about there are in new houses and townhomes rather than renovations. New construction suits custom cabinetry well, because we work from the builder's drawings early, confirm the room by measurement once the drywall is up, and land the cabinets on the day the schedule needs them. Builders and developers get the same pricing framing as homeowners, and we can build to one spec across several units when a project calls for it.
A Whistler or Pemberton house runs a wood stove or in-floor heat all winter, sits empty for stretches, and swings between very dry indoor air in January and damp shoulder seasons. Solid wood doors move in those conditions. A veneer on a stable core moves far less, which is why we lean toward rift white oak veneer or walnut veneer on plywood boxes, or painted slab MDF, for these houses. Matte finishes hide dust and fingerprints better than gloss, which matters when the house is closed up for weeks at a time.
Many Sea to Sky homes are short-term rentals for part of the year, and a rental kitchen takes more use in a season than a family kitchen takes in a year. The parts that fail are hinges, slides, and handles, not the door fronts. So the spec is full-extension drawers instead of doors wherever possible, soft-close on everything, integrated handles that cannot be knocked off, and a laminate or painted finish that wipes clean. The hardware and the mechanical parts carry a lifetime warranty*. Wood and laminate finishes typically carry a one-year manufacturer warranty. That is the right way round for a rental.
Squamish is about an hour from our showroom, Whistler closer to two, and Pemberton another half hour past that, on a highway that can close in bad weather. So we plan the trips instead of pretending they are local. A site measure is a day. A delivery is a truck day, timed so the cabinets go straight into a dry, locked room. Installation is one to several days depending on the size of the kitchen, and we set the dates with your builder so the counters can be templated right after. Our standard lead time on the cabinetry is about 4 weeks from a signed design, the same as in Vancouver. Winter can add days on the delivery side, and we tell you that up front.
You do not need to drive down more than once. Most Sea to Sky clients come to the Kitsilano showroom once to see finishes and door styles in person, and the rest happens on drawings and calls. You get a full design package with 3D renderings before anything is ordered. If your builder or designer is running the project, we work from their plans and send them what they need. What we do not do is the general contracting, plumbing, or electrical. Those are your builder's trades, and we coordinate our part with them.
